January 2012 Blog Train, Matching FB Freebie, and New Product Line for 2012

Welcome to the WWC blog and Happy 2012! ;)

I’ve got a bunch of things to show you today, but will start with my portion of the January 2012 Blog Train, as I know that’s likely what brought you to the blog today! If you’re following the train from start to finish, you likely arrived here from Snackpackgu’s Designs and your next stop will be Amanda and Millie Designs. If you get lost along the way, just head on back to the main Blog Train site and you’ll get back on track.

This month’s offering is a practical & basic mini that “coordinates” (in terms of scrapping style, more than color) with my new “Everyday Life” product line …see below for more info on that, and also for a matching FB freebie. This mini can be used on its own if you like the minimalist look… and/or alongside most other kits/products due to the neutral colors and simple patterns. Hopefully you’ll find it useful!

As you can see, the mini is focused less on elements and more on the journaling… because sometime in the past month, I decided to do a tweaked variation of Becky Higgins’ Project Life (“pocket page” scrapbooking) to document my family’s memories in 2012. The system is based on the idea that many of our “everyday life” moments get lost when we focus our attention solely on scrapping & documenting events… something I am definitely “guilty” of at times! It’s designed to be a quick and simple way to keep all of those great everyday memories–in one place–in a meaningful way. If you are interested in learning more about the system… here’s a really interesting thread in the forum at The Digichick, with lots of great information about the process, as well as loads of inspiration… and ideas on how to use digital supplies to do it in (a) a traditional paper-scrapped way… or (b) a hybrid method (what I’m opting for)… or (c) a truly 100% digital version.

When I decided to tackle this project, I knew I wanted to create most of my pages digitally, and print/insert those pages in 12″x12″ page protectors… while also using some of the pocket-style page protectors to save the little bits and pieces that we all collect each week/month/year because they have sentimental meaning attached to them (things like ticket stubs, programs, greeting cards, receipts, etc.).

So… I created an entire line of templates, papers, journaling cards, and date bits that coordinate and are versatile enough to be used throughout an entire year’s album, as well as for many other scrapping projects, too. The result?… my new “Everyday Life” products:

"Everyday Life" Bundle (Volume 1)

"Everyday Life" Bundle (Volume 2)

"Everyday Life" Bundle (Volume 2)

Both bundles, as well as all individual products, will be released at The Digichick this coming Thursday (1/5/2012).

Guess what? Those of you who participate in the blog train and download my mini kit will get a coupon (inside the .zip) that’s good for 50% OFF any one purchase of any/all products from this new line. ;) So pay attention when you unzip your goodies!

Finally, I have one more freebie to share with you today… available to all of the followers of the Wishing Well Creations Facebook Page*.

* are you one of the last few who aren’t yet on Facebook? ;) LOL …no worries, I’ve got you covered! Subscribe to my PU/S4O/S4H newsletter here and you’ll get the freebie as a thank-you in your “welcome e-mail”!  This will work out extra well for you, in fact, because my newsletter subscribers often get special coupons/deals, and are always the first to hear about new products, etc… kinda like a special club (but, er… not a cult).

That’s it from me today… wishing you all a safe and healthy New Year and the brightest and best of everything in the coming year! ;)

Zory… I sent you an e-mail, but in case anyone else reads here and was wondering… the scripted font is “Wendy Medium” and it comes pre-installed on a lot (most?) new computers nowadays… so you might have it! ;)
